Transforming sports provision in Cambridge for everyone

Supporting the city’s growth with new homes and community benefits

Securing the long-term future of Cambridge United Football Club and its Community Trust

Sport and activity matter to everyone. They are vital to fitness and health. They promote well-being and improve residents’ quality of life.

Cambridge United Football Club and its Community Trust are a continued source of inspiration and civic pride - as is Cambridge’s status as the UK’s leading cycling city.

The city has a strong sporting heritage, but as Cambridge grows into a world-class city with a leading technology hub, there is a risk its residents will end up with second-class sports facilities and social infrastructure.

The region desperately needs more homes and modern facilities for its growing population.
